Lesson learned. What was the best thing you learned about yourself this past year? And how will you apply that lesson going forward? My lesson learned is don’t give up something because it seemingly conflicts with other areas of your life. If you really love doing all three, then determine a way to do it.
Writing is a good friend, familiar in many ways and unfamiliar in others. Combined, writing moves me forward… brightly renewed. Prompted by Reverb10 – Friendship. How has a friend changed you or your perspective on the world this year?
Reverb 10 Prompt: Action. When it comes to aspirations, its not about ideas. It’s about making ideas happen. What’s your next step? It is about motions, notions, connections and reflections to turn inspirations into triumphs.
Reverb 10: What are 11 things your life doesn’t need in 2011? How will you go about eliminating them? How will getting rid of these 11 things change your life?
Reverb 10 Prompt: Wisdom. What was the wisest decision you made this year, and how did it play out? Raising teens is liking planting a seed in a storm. You do not know if it takes hold yet, later on, it grows into something wonderful. Making decisions knowing this helps.
Reverb 10 Prompt: Community. Where have you discovered community, online or otherwise, in 2010? What community would you like to join, create or more deeply connect with in 2011? I discovered community in a grove of Aspen trees.
Reverb 10 Prompt: Let Go. What (or whom) did you let go of this year? Why? Worrying about what other people say or do takes too much energy. Instead, being comfortable with oneself and moving forward is what will help let go of their actions and words.
Cultivating a sense of wonder is essential to keeping fresh in all areas of life. Wide-eyed, open-minded, action-oriented… like seeds blowing in the wind, planting ideas and spurring new areas of growth.
Pick one moment during which you felt most alive this year. Describe it in vivid detail (texture, smells, voices, noises, colors). Driving Big Sur along the Pacific coast and enjoying lunch at Ventana with my family – what else is more important?
